Back around the summer-fall of 2010, I was just finishing up work on my project "(A Journey) Through Sensory Excellence"...after finishing recording, me and my partner (the visionary responsible for the melodic backdrops for my lyrics) were in discussions of divergent paths. What occurred afterwards was me working and going to school (full time) and us not working on new music...a drought that would last until the "Latitude 52" project in 2015 (the era in which I first started talking to "Clementine Churchill").
During this time, I became curious about trying to make beats myself. With the help of Fruity Loops (now known as FL Studio) and inspiration from 9th Wonder, Kanye West, The Neptunes, and Timbaland, I made a batch of beats I had intended to rap over in order to truly be "self-sufficient" (in a sort-of "Prince" type of way). Though I would record two demos for this project during that time via Cadaver the Rapper's (Tyler W.'s) home setup, I shelved both the project and trying to be a "rapper/lyricist" due to work and school and money and time.
Since 2015, I have been lucky to start back up writing and recording which is where I am strongest while still being able to write reports for my career. Along the way, I've taken a liking to beat tapes and beat makers who release just instrumentals such as eevee, Jinsang, Sango, Bonobo, Flying Lotus, Fat Jon, Nujabes, and more...though I may never really "record" over these beats, I figured it doesn't hurt to add to the collection of G~Mile styles by posting this project.
So, I'm treating this project like an NES cartridge and blowing the dust off. The beats aren't "perfect" (cause looping tracks and such was a painnnnnn for a novice), but I am all about sharing my soul in many ways, shapes, and forms. And, who knows, if ya like it you may buy it since 2010 G~Mile wouldn't mind getting paid for work that is 100% G. 9 years later, who would've thought I would actually be on the other side of the planet missing a love affair back home that was realer than anything I could've ever dreamed...maybe, 9 years from now ,I'll look back on this moment and wonder what other dreams may come...
I hope you, the listener, engage in a Planetary Love Affair that is of exquisite taste...
