You know, dinner time
usually equals winter time
Cold shoulders and cold stares
where loved ones no longer share

But that day everything seemed okay

During our time together
of course we had our share of bad weather
and my impending move didn’t do
enough to keep us together past June

saw my style as pathetic

And maybe they’re right
I was the type to try to

because of the strict conditions
I grew up in

So, G~Mile was my attempt
at being some sort of Casanova to get respect
But now, I have regrets

Because distance exists between us
This year's transition has not been seamless

See, this one memory from that day often rewinds
in my mind to when we sat on that couch
that was yours and not mine

even through all of the pain
